Former KLA Commander Sahit Jashari Dies

Sahit Jashari, a prominent former commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), has died.

The Jashari family announced the news through an obituary notice, expressing their grief over his loss and honouring the contribution he made throughout his service to the homeland.

"We will always remember our father with pride for his service to the homeland, for his courage, dedication and invaluable contribution. The memory of his life and legacy will remain in our hearts forever," the family's statement read.

The family said it would announce the time and place of the funeral at a later date.
